In strong communities, all generations are valued and work side-by-side on community solutions.
We are so very grateful to have all of our town organizations, but especially
grateful to the volunteers who make it possible.

  Beautiful Mountainside

Beautiful Mountainside is a certified 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was formed 
by a diverse group of Mountainside Residents. Helping to keep Mountainside
beautiful, the group meets at the Hetfield House on the first Monday of each 
month. If that Monday happens to be a holiday, the group then meets on Tuesday.

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is an American fraternal order and social club with a 141 year history

  Friends of the Mountainside Library

The Friends of the Mountainside Public Library are the primary fundraisers of the MPL.
As a 501(c)3 organization, this group is made up of volunteers who work hard to
raise money in support of library programs as well as other special library needs.

 Girlscouts

An active group of over 20 troops in Mountainside, including troops from Daisy Girl Scouts
                      all the way to Senior Troops, the current organization has nearly 200 Mountainside
                      girls are registered as Girl Scouts with over 100 registered adult volunteers.

  Historic Preservation

The Mountainside Historic Preservation Committee was established in 1984 to preserve the
historical sites in Mountainside, New Jersey.Its members believe history is part of culture and
it should be kept alive so future generations can learn about the history of the town they live in.
                      The society has dedicated itself to preserving the Hetfield House and other historic sites in Mountainside.

  Mountainside Education Foundation (MEF)

The Mountainside Education Foundation is comprised of a group of local residents and several organizations. As an
incorporated,nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, MEF funds grants that enhance the academic development of our
                      students.  The organization,as a whole, continues to operate as an independent entity led by a volunteer Board
                      with the support of parents/guardians, the community, and district staff members.

  Mountainside Softball & Baseball League

Mountainside Baseball and Softball League’s goal is to provide age appropriate baseball and
softball programs to develop player”s skills, self esteem, and teamwork abilities.  We strive
to help players through their successes and their failures through positively shaping the
outcomes in all situations.  We provide programs for players ages 5-13. Our programs
are differentiated for a variety of skill levels.

  VFW Post 10136

The Mountainside VFW Post 10136 is a post of the larger VFW organization. The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S.
is a nonprofit veterans’ service organization comprised of combat veterans and eligible military service members from
the active, Guard and Reserve forces. Founded in 1899 and chartered by Congress in 1936, the VFW is the nation’s
largest organization of war veterans and its oldest major veterans’ organization. With nearly 1.9 million VFW and
Auxiliary members located in almost 7,000 Posts worldwide, “NO ONE DOES MORE FOR VETERANS.” The VFW
and its Auxiliaries are dedicated to veterans’ service, legislative advocacy, and military and community service programs worldwide.
