Swine Flu
Vaccine Update
As of Thursday October 22, 2009, the
Health Department has NOT received any H1N1 vaccine. Vaccine has been
ordered and delivery is anticipated within two weeks. When sufficient
quantity is received, vaccination clinics will be
scheduled. Information concerning the vaccination clinics will be
disseminated by the school system, day care centers, municipal website,
local access television, and newspapers. The Health Department will
target high priority groups first: pregnant women, individuals aged six
months to 24 years are among targeted for the first round of
clinics. As more vaccine becomes available, additional clinics will be
scheduled to accommodate other priority groups. Clinics will be
scheduled until everyone who wants a shot has received it.
